We are pleased to bring you our latest products on the following themes:

Early Learning Prevents Youth ViolencePreventing aggression

Early Learning Prevents Youth Violence
by Richard E. Tremblay, Jean Gervais and Amélie Petitclerc

Prepared by the Centre of Excellence for Early Childhood Development with the financial support of the Canadian Council on Learning's Early Childhood Learning Knowledge Centre, this report highlights the importance of early intervention to reduce aggression and help every child reach his or her full potential as a positive member of society.

Brain development Brain development

Because brain development and child development go hand in hand, our newest theme is the brain development. How does memory develop in very young children? What areas of the brain are involved in the phenomenon of attention? How does the visual perception system develop?

*These articles were developed in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence for Early Childhood Development.

National Child Day Forum

National Child Day Forum

A great success!

The Early Childhood Learning Knowledge Centre was pleased to take part in the National Child Day Forum held November 13 and 14 in Winnipeg. More than 300 participants visited our booth and many attended a workshop run by the ECLKC and presented in both English and French.

The workshop explores the social and emotional skills of young children and helps participants become familiar with how children and their parents can be guided in their learning.
