The Work and Learning Knowledge Centre examines “learning for work” and “learning from work.” This includes formal and informal learning undertaken to help an individual perform better in his or her current job, or to advance in his or her career. It may also include activities required to get a job in the first place, or to transfer skills from one job to another. Such learning may occur on or off the work site, through structured courses or independently.
