Spring forward! Early years national conference

March 26–28, 2007

Toronto, Ontario
DoubleTree International Plaza Hotel

Event Description

The conference will provide a forum to discuss and examine current research, programs and practices promoting optimal early child development outcomes. It will offer all individuals and organizations working with young children, aged zero to six years, and their families an opportunity to learn about a broad range of collaborative models in communities across Canada.

The objectives of the conference consist of translating research into action; building, promoting and supporting cross-sector partnerships and collaborations; and showcasing existing integrated neighbourhood-based initiatives that support early child development and parenting.

The event will feature Mary Gordon, founder of Roots of Empathy, and Clyde Hertzman, internationally renowned early childhood expert and director of HELP (Human Early Learning Partnership of British Columbia).

Co-hosted by Jim Grieve, Chair of Success By 6 Peel, and Dr. Fraser Mustard, executive director of the Council for Early Child Development.

CCL's Early Childhood Learning Knowledge Centre is sponsoring this event.
