Dr. Tom Sticht an internationally renowned expert on adult literacy will be in Ontario for the "Ontario Springs Into Literacy" seminar tour from March 23 to April 3, 2009. An entertaining and insightful presenter, Dr. Sticht will remind practitioners of their motivations and passion for literacy. This presentation will include his research on the application of cognitive science to the literacy, education and training needs of under-served youth and adults. He will also discuss research on brain development, pre-school program effectiveness and the relationships of parent's education to children's literacy. This tour will take him to Thunder Bay (March 23), Niagara (March 25), Waterloo (March 27), London (March 30), Muskoka (April 1) and Toronto (April 3).

The conference is free and open to the public.
