Event Description

The 2007 Annual Canadian Language and Literacy Research Network Conference will build on the momentum of  the five previous conferences by providing an extended forum to highlight and discuss the exciting contributions being made to improve and sustain early childhood language and literacy development in Canada

This year, the conference will highlight the development of language and literacy in children. Seminars and symposia, which will target issues in childhood language and literacy development, include the Pre-Conference Education and Early Childhood Development Seminars, and Family and Aboriginal Literacy Symposia. Keynote speakers include: Dr. Andy Biemiller (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto); Dr. Jacqueline P. Leighton (Centre for Research in Applied Measurement and Evaluation, University of Alberta); and Dr. Susan B. Neuman (University of Michigan School of Education).

As a sponsor of this conference, the Early Childhood Learning Knowledge Centre will have a booth at this event.
