Learning Cities initiatives from coast to coast
The City of St. John's, Newfoundland, has taken the first step toward establishing a Learning City initiative. The city council has passed a motion to work with CCL to create an inventory of lifelong learning opportunities available within the city. St. John's is also exploring how to use CCL's Composite Learning Index to measure progress . St. John's joins other cities and towns in Canada, such as Vancouver, Edmonton, Fort Erie and Victoria, who are committed to developing learning communities. More on the Learning Cities initiative »
