Super-powered literacy: The benefits of comics in the classroom
For generations, parents and educators have written off comics as being cheap and disposable: a sub-literate medium more suited for after-school reading than inside the classroom. But researchers are starting to reconsider the long-shunned medium as a potential positive teaching tool, especially for boys who tend to lag behind girls in terms of reading ability.
