While students with disabilities have faced many barriers in post-secondary education, they are now benefitting from technological advances that open up their world of learning by through comprehensive interactive access to text-based, audio and video materials.  More   Several years ago, Melinda Smith was halfway through a bachelor’s degree in music but had to drop out for financial reasons. Not able to afford a full-time return to university, she discovered Athabasca University, a mostly virtual post-secondary institution. She enrolled part-time and now takes three courses per semester.   More
