CCL's imminent closure

As announced in the fall of 2011, CCL will close its doors permanently in the spring of 2012.

CCL deeply appreciates all the support it has received from employees, volunteers and stakeholders since its inception in 2004 and extends heartfelt thanks to all those who have contributed to its success. 

Building Capacity for Research

Increasing Canada’s capacity to undertake important research on learning is a key part of CCL’s mandate.

To support this goal, we have organized a variety of capacity-building initiatives, including:

  • Workshops and Institutes: A series of workshops and other CCL-sponsored events focussing on effective research practices
  • Researchers in Residence: A program sponsoring the activities of researchers at various organizations across the country
  • Canadian Centre for Knowledge Mobilization (CCKM): A partnership with CCKM in 2005-2006 to conduct workshops on ‘finding and evaluating’ research evidence.
