Building Capacity for Research

Increasing Canada’s capacity to undertake important research on learning is a key part of CCL’s mandate. To support this goal, we have organized a variety of capacity-building initiatives, including:

• Workshops and Institutes: A series of workshops and other CCL-sponsored events focussing on effective research practices
• Researchers in Residence: A program sponsoring the activities of researchers at various organizations across the country
• Canadian Centre for Knowledge Mobilization (CCKM): A partnership with CCKM in 2005-2006 to conduct workshops on ‘finding and evaluating’ research evidence.
