Our Work

The Aboriginal Learning Knowledge Centre will work collaboratively with Aboriginal People and other learning professionals to build on the unique personal, social, cultural and historical contexts for Aboriginal learning.

To aid the development of effective solutions to the many learning challenges First Nations, Métis and Inuit face, the centre will:

  • provide a forum for effective practices from across Canada and around the world
  • convene educators, academics, learners and policy-makers to develop strategies for collaboration and change
  • help develop directions for CCL research; and
  • contribute to designing of indicators and ways of reporting progress in Aboriginal learning.
