Event Description
CCL's Work and Learning Knowledge Centre will be hosting its first annual symposium in Ottawa, May 31-June 1. This event will bring together leaders from business, labour and education, along with government and learning community representatives, to discuss the role of knowledge exchange in promoting workplace learning and training in Canada. This gathering will serve as the lead-off event for the development of the WLKC's work program over the coming months.

Participants will share information about innovative practices in the area of work-related learning across the country. They will discuss the most effective ways of promoting these innovative policies and workplace practices to a wide range of stakeholders, in order to optimize the level, effectiveness and inclusiveness of work-related learning.

Dr. David Foot, respected demographer and best-selling author, will provide the keynote address at the opening reception and dinner, with commentaries from Dr. Jay Myers of the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters and David Robertson of the Canadian Auto Workers.
