Event Description

Organized by the Greater Moncton Family Resource Centre, in collaboration with the New Brunswick Association of Family Resource Centres and Healthy Baby and Me, this bilingual conference will discuss, through keynote presentations and workshops, topics such as parent-child attachment, effective strategies to promote healthy families and children in communities and involving fathers in parenting programs and activities.

Claire Gascon Giard, general coordinator of CCL's Early Childhood Learning Knowledge Centre and the Centre of Excellence for Early Childhood Development, will deliver a presentation entitled Nourishing the development of young children in Canada: Why, what, when, who, how? She will also give a workshop called Reducing aggression and nourishing social development and self-control in young children: What you need to know to be able to help parents and caregivers in their roles, best practices and training available.
