The Canadian Council on Learning (CCL) celebrates innovative and effective practices from across the country at Sharing the Flame: Recognizing Excellence in Learning, a national conference being held in Ottawa, June 12–13, 2007 at the Chateau Laurier Hotel.
Sharing the Flame will highlight effective practices representing five thematic areas: Aboriginal learning, adult learning, early childhood learning, health-related learning and work and learning. Meet with Canadian leaders and practitioners in education, government, NGOs, national associations, business and labour for a celebratory evening and day of learning that will help raise awareness in areas of lifelong learning.
The two-day inaugural conference takes place at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier, located at 1 Rideau St. in downtown Ottawa. The opening event is a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m. that showcases promising practices, followed at 6:30 p.m. by a celebratory dinner to recognize the people behind those programs.
On day two, representatives from the selected effective practices will share their success stories and answer your questions in a moderated setting.
