“Learning Communities” evening and symposium

Event Description
As Canadian municipal administrators and officials converge in Quebec City for the annual CAMA and FCM conferences, the Canadian Council on Learning (CCL) will host two events pertaining to “learning communities.”

Meet Canadian and international subject-matter experts, share and learn about effective and promising practices in the development of Learning Community strategies.

Attendees of both events will include:

  • Key city administrators
  • Learning practitioners
  • Policy-makers and researchers in the development of Learning Community strategies

Agenda

Explore “learning communities” through powerful stories of promising practices and their impact. This symposium will emphasize the learning assets from which communities draw strength and highlight dynamic results. Presenters will highlight their extensive experience in planning and managing communities, and discuss how to achieve locally-relevant solutions through the development of a learning community at the municipal or regional level.
