• The 7th national Call for Knowledge Exchange Projects has been announced by CCL's Adult Learning Knowledge Centre. Submissions dealing with the subjects of literacy, seniors’ learning, arts and culture, prior learning assessment and recognition (PLAR), late-entry learning and any projects designed to coincide with the International Adult Learners’ Week, will be accepted until Nov. 28, 2008.
  
• CCL's Early Childhood Learning Knowledge Centre has published two articles online that deal with international perspectives on child care and school readiness. Child-care Policy: A comparative perspective explores how different countries support child-care services, while School Readiness and International Developments in Early Childhood Education and Care  explores the effects of school-readiness initiatives around the world. 
  
• Report on Post-secondary Institutions as Healthy Settings: The Pivotal Role of Student Services, a document written by CCL's Health and Learning Knowledge Centre, examines the role that student services departments play in promoting healthy post-secondary institutions.
