State of Learning in Canada: A Year in Review

This year’s annual report on Canadians' progress in lifelong learning presents the most up-to-date information available. To reflect the scope of the lifelong process of learning, this document is organized into five chapters. Four of them are dedicated to critical stages in an individual’s learning journey: early childhood learning, learning in school, post-secondary learning and adult learning. The fifth and final chapter presents new data in Aboriginal learning.

CCL takes stock of its achievements on the eve of the end of its funding

On March 30, 2010, CCL's CEO and senior staff met with a group of MPs and senators to discuss the state of lifelong learning in Canada. The event, named Taking Stock of Lifelong Learning in Canada: 2005–2010, gave the decision-makers a comprehensive overview of the current state of lifelong learning in Canada and encouraged them to develop the effective approaches to learning that Canada needs to stay competitive in the global knowledge-based economy.
